The person behind

Piano Teacher

I love teaching piano and I strongly believe in a patient, fun and supportive teaching approach that allows students to progress at their own pace while challenging them in the areas where they need it. I’m happy to guide students in their preferred styles of music, whether pop, classical or anything in between.

Nurturing well rounded and creative musicians is my goal and I offer an approach that is adapted to all needs. Students from ages 6 to adult are welcome beginning at any time during the year.

Piano is my first passion and my first formal lessons experience. I have also played violin and guitar and have performed in ensembles, bands and accompanied for exams.

Bringing community together through music is something I love to do so I organise two concerts per year to offer the students an opportunity to showcase what they have learnt for their loved ones. It is a warm, mysigt event that comes with no obligation to perform  - so being a participant can mean to witness, listen, be inspired, or just be present.

I attend a Gospel choir (The Gospel Rose Choir) for my own enjoyment. It is a short fun break from being a mum of three children.

What People Are Saying

Jana is truly the best piano teacher we could have wished for. Our daughter started lessons with her at just five years old, and from the very beginning Jana has been amazing with children. She has a wonderful ability to make learning fun, engaging, and encouraging, while still building a strong musical foundation. Our daughter looks forward to every lesson, and we have seen her confidence and love for music grow thanks to Jana’s patience and dedication. We can highly recommend her to any family looking for a fantastic piano teacher for children.”
